lie to me

Lie to Me premiered on FOX Wednesday night, and I actually really enjoyed it. It reminded me of a lot of SVU in some ways but with an obviously differing approach. I thought it was solid, and look forward to seeing it again next week.

Since we are on the subject of Television I would like to take this time to announce my falling out with the ABC show LOST. Believe me when I say that I loved LOST just as much as the next guy, but for some reason over the break I just stop caring completely. When the premier hit this past Wednesday, amongst all the hoopla and excitement, I simply DVR’d it, shrugged my shoulders and watched American Idol. Now I can’t even bring myself to watch it. Laziness?… no. I think I’m just so tired of racking my brain over J.J. Abrahms island adventures that I just don’t care enough anymore to sit through two hours of that whore Kate trying to decide between Jack or Sawyer.
Perhaps I got too comfortable not thinking about what would happen next. Either way I’m blaming the producers or whoever for taking so long.

  • I love Tim Roth, but haven’t seen Lie to Me. I plan on watching it when I get a chance though.

On LOST, I understand your frustration, but the premier was worth it. Besides, there are only 3o episodes left in the entire series. It might make it worth pushing through. But like I said, I understand the frustration. And if it’s worth anything, there is absolutely no Love-Triangle element in the premier.

One show you might enjoy is Dexter. I got hooked late last semester. It’s brilliant. Michael C. Hall is a greek god.

  • Yea, well I guess to be honest I don’t think I was ever not going to watch the premier. It’s just a matter of when I feel like getting around to it. (Or when I get over my frustration.) Its encouraging to hear it was good though.

I have only heard good things about Dexter, but unfortunately I don’t get HBO. (Its on HBO right?) I will have to find a website or something where I can watch it.

  • It’s Showtime (but I don’t generally differentiate between the two). Most of the episodes are on the web.

  • Ha well, I don’t get Showtime either so I’ll just have to catch it on the web.

  • Yeah, I watched all my episodes on the Web or via Blockbuster. I don’t even have a TV here.
