Is it just me, or is it like the most non nerdy thing when people admit how nerdy they are?
Example: “I love going to the history museum. I’m such a nerd!” or, “I’ve read the Physical Encyclopedia of Science Fiction 5 times… I’m so nerdy!”
Like I said, it could just be me, but it seems like people who are truly nerdy, geeky, (whatever) don’t realize it. Or maybe they do realize it, its just the true geeks don’t announce it from the mountain tops (facebook status) for self gratification, or cuteness’ sake

I would probably agree with you in principle. But it raises the question: would a true nerd care about adhering to the rules of true nerddom?

That is a good question that I don’t really know how to answer haha.
I was more so targeting those who are not nerds, but claim to be because claiming so makes you cute and/or funny.
